Here is a very nice hand-carved Hematite skull! It is much more beautiful and smooth in person than the photos capture. Hematite is also called Hemetite and Alaskan Black Diamond. It is a natural iron oxide, and very heavy for its size. It has a Specific Gravity of 5.3, which is above average for metallic minerals.
This Hematite was mined in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
It measures 2.5 inches long and weighs in at precisely .78 pounds. It has been completely hand carved and shows excellent realism in both shape and details including Raven's trademark hollowed out jaw and cheekbones. A glossy polish puts the perfect finishing touch on this awesome Iron Ore being!
