Colorful and rare Ocean Jasper designer cabochon.

Here is a beautiful stone from Madagascar, "Ocean" Jasper, as it comes from the sea / coast off this amazing island. With the deposit being located at the edge of the ocean, it can only be seen and collected from at low tide. This remote area has no roads so the material must be transported to civilization by boat.

Update: The deposit has now been completely depleted of Ocean Jasper. This stone is now and will become even more highly sought after for its extreme beauty.

Metaphysical and Healing properties of Jasper:

Jaspers of all kinds have long been attributed to magical powers in just about every culture known to man. Jasper is often used by Shaman for protection, it is a stone which accepts intense responsibility in this realm. It holds an aspect of solar energy and a connection to the solar Chakra which also helps Shaman in their magical practices. It is considered a sacred stone by Native Americans. Jasper can be used for the purpose of divination and as a pathway leading both to and from the other worlds. Jasper can be used to facilitate immense strength, to assist one in diversification in fields of endeavor, and to promote, during meditative states and astral projection, a wandering in unregimented directions. It provides for a protective structure over the field of astral travel so that one can relax in the protective barrier. Jasper balances the emotional state and brings the emotional bodies into resonance with the higher self. It is a stone of nurturing and protection at a time of expansion on all levels. By working with Jasper one may deepen the meditative state.

This designer cabochon was carved especially to show off the beautiful patterns and colors of this stone.
