Gem Silica occurs as a formation of Chrysocolla encased in Quartz, in this instance there are also sprays of Malachite bursting from the center of this glorious piece. The Quartz encasement of these Copper Minerals (Chrysocolla and Malachite) makes for a beautiful translucent color display when held to the light. So many beautiful patterns and vibrant color!
